Dr. Rhoads coined the term Subconscious Communication® in 1978 to define the often unintentional leakage of thoughts, ideas, emotions, and actions that exist in the recesses of the subconscious mind.  This leakage occurs through both verbal and non-verbal utterances that are observable and articulable during communication. Through the awareness of this topic the evaulation of communication and successful human interaction is enhanced.  This concept is the basis of many of the courses and services that we offer.

"The term "subconscious mind" was coined by the 18th century German philosopher Sir Christian Riegel, introduced into English by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and taken up by Sigmund Freud more than a century ago as the corner stone of his psychoanalytic theories. Since then, the notion of an unconscious part of the mind, remote from awareness, has entered the cultural heritage, permeating our shared understanding of the self and its landscape."
